Mair Davies
- CDF Fellow Standard/Latin - ISTD Licentiate Standard/Latin
- Adjudicator
Originally from Wales, Mair stopped to visit Canada on her way back to New Zealand
and stumbeled upon our dance school. After completing her professional training
with us she never left. Mair's favourite students are our beginner and
intermediate dancers.
Kathy Murphy
Graduate of the Nova Scotia Teachers College, Kathy combines her Phys Ed degree and
dance training to teach our leisure dance programs. After 32 years of teaching in the
school system, Kathy refused to stop helping others get off the couch and get active.
Her sense of humour, coupled with her belief that having fun and enjoying yourself is
the primary goal of dance, keeps her classes entertaining and eventful.
Christie Swain
One of the five Edgett sisters, Christie has been involved in dancing,
teaching, and competitive dance since the age of four. She attended the
National Ballet School as a child before changing her dance path from her
love of ballet to her interest in Latin dancing. Christie was the Maritime
Latin Champion for six years. She now is managing Edgett Dance Centre
with her sister, Jane. Dance can be healing mentally and physically.
Join us for a healthier life.
Camilla Melanson
Camilla has been involved in Folk dancing since a very early age, occasionally
studying ballroom and latin dance during that time. After leaving her successful
dance school in New Brunswick, Camilla committed to her ballroom teacher training.
Camilla brings an endless, positive energy not only to her lessons, but to the
studio itself.
Marilyn Boyle
Marilyn began her dance career at the age of eight, eventually joining the
Buchta Dancers of CBC's Don Messer's Jubilee. After retiring from teaching
Elementary School, Marilyn has returned to her passion for dance. Marilyn
sees dance as a celebration and a way to bring people closer together.
